Join the Path at coastal
towns, villages or car parks.
Follow the signs and waymarks with the words 'Coast
Path' and the acorn symbol, which is used by all
National Trails.
Signs
at main access points will also show the distance
to the next destination.
Either walk 'there and back', use public transport
in one direction or combine a section of Coast Path
with inland footpaths to make a circular walk.
Elsewhere on the website there are more details of short walks, and tips on planning multi-day trips.
Visit the Traveline
website to see whether you can
get to the start of your walk by public transport.
Use the distance calculator to
assess the length of your walk.
Choose from the many maps and guidebooks that are available.
Visit Tourist
Information Centres for local Coast
Path walks leaflets produced by a range of organisations
and businesses.
Check Path News for
brand new sections of Coast Path and any temporary
diversions (caused by cliff falls or land slips).

Path safety guidelines. |
