South Dorset Ridgeway diversion route.

Dorset: Bincombe (South Dorset Ridgeway).

There is to be a short diversion on the South Dorset Ridgeway (the inland alternative route between West Bexington and Osmington) due to the upgrading of the A359 between Dorchester to Weymouth. It will come into effect on Monday 2nd February 2009 and continues for the forseeable future. As part of the work a new bridge will be built over the carraigeway which will be a big improvement for both walkers and riders. The details of the route change are shown are on the map. (Grid Ref SY 067 085, but as work progresses the actual diversion route may change, so please the plans that are put up on and around the site.
